Perth & Kinross Council have approved the £30m masterplan put forward by Murrayshall Country Estate which will see an extension to the hotel, a new spa and leisure facility, an outdoor pursuits area, glamping units, lodges and the potential for residential development and fractional ownership/timeshare.
Gary Silcock, General Manager for Murrayshall Country Estate, said, “We are delighted with the Council’s decision to approve our Masterplan Application and would like to thank everyone for their support.
“We’ve been examining for some time our current standing and future prospects and it is evident we continue to face certain challenges. Today’s decision to approve our proposals in principle is the first step at a new chapter for Murrayshall Country Estate – a journey from challenges to opportunities, fostering growth, employment and ultimately providing an asset to be enjoyed by the local community.
“Reflecting on our past endeavors, including a substantial investment of approximately £5million into the estate, we recognise the significance of this milestone. This approval unlocks a potential investment of around £169million across Perth and Kinross and Scotland, potentially securing 400 job opportunities.
“We look forward to bringing forward more detailed plans over the coming months.”
