A new premium spirit label production company called Spirit Label Solutions has been launched by five well-known figures in Scotland’s printing industry. Founded by CEO Alex Mulvenny, MD Tom Lightbody, directors Finlay McLachlan, Jamie Thomson, and Chris Crockertin, it aims to to provide a customised approach to label production in response to the growing demand from the craft gin and whisky industries.

Based in the recently renovated Westway at Glasgow Airport, the company secured a long-term lease agreement with Canmoor. With investment of £5 million  injected into the facility, the unit features a production area and office space as well as state-of-the-art production lines.

Currently boasting a 15-member team, including the directors, Spirit has set its sights on rapid expansion, targeting doubling the workforce within the first 3 years.

Mr Mulvenny said, “It’s an exciting time to be starting the business and the response we have had from clients and the market has been very positive. We firmly believe there is a significant gap for our bespoke services.

“Our primary focus is on delivering a high quality label printing service to our clients. With extensive experience in premium spirits labelling, our leadership teams brings over a century of collective industry experience.

“Our ethos is simple, yet powerful: ‘’Bring Digital Agility to the Scotch Whisky Industry’ and we aspire to be the most customer-centric partner in our industry.”
