Pizza Geeks, known for their handmade Neapolitan inspired pizzas, has set a goal to donate over 15,000 pizzas to those in need this year and all three of their locations, Haymarket, Leith, and their newest location on Easter Road, are taking part.
The give-away is part of their ‘Pizza for the People’ charity work which has already given away 39,000 pizza’s and, this year, they plan to extend the initiative by partnering with new charities and local enterprises. As part of the community focus, the main event in February is their Pizza for the People Day at their new Easter Road venue where they intend to give away free pizzas to anybody and everyone in the neighborhood.

Pizza Geeks plan to grow their Pizza for the People even more this year and are encouraging other local initiatives to get in touch of they would like to collaborate with them. Some of the charities they currently work closely with include Soul Food, The Haymarket Hubs Homeless Shelter, Street Works, Steps for Hope, Street Soccer, and Social Bite Village. The group also makes pizzas on the slower evenings at the eateries and distributes them to the city’s homeless population.
