The Glenlivet enters digital realm with ultra rare 50-Year-Old collection

Speyside single malt, The Glenlivet, is celebrating its 200th anniversary with the launch of ‘The Glenlivet: The Twelve Elements’ collection and a digital-only sales channel for each of the 12 unique bottles of the collection – also created using AI design.

The ultra rare 50 Year Old whisky celebrates the twelve essential elements of The Glenlivet single malt, from the spiritual to the scientific, reaching the final stages of is maturation during The Glenlivet’s bicentenary.

It will only available on the global blockchain-enabled marketplace, ‘The Whisky Exchange Cabinet’, ahead of bottling in summer 2024. Buyers will receive a digital certificate, together with the opportunity to redeem 5cl samples of the rare cask liquid at 48, 49 and 50 years old, and the full bottle upon release.

The Glenlivet Cask Expert Kevin Balmforth, said, “This luxurious whisky showcases the art of balance, where nature and human elements combine to create a liquid of remarkable depth and character. Each bottle in the collection is priced at €40,000 + VAT.
