A new Glasgow-based drinks distributor officially opened its doors this month. Kilninian, which already works with brands including Glaswegin, Kirkjuvagr Orkney Gin , King’s Inch single malt, and the vegan scotch whisky liqueur Liquid Oats, is aiming to bring more Scottish drinks brands to independent retail stores across the UK.
Founder Jamie Williamson is no stranger to the industry having worked with Marblehead Brand Development on brands including Glen Moray Single Malt and Don Papa Rum as well as time at the Old Curiosity Distillery, Barwell & Jones wine agency and Douglas Laing & Co. where he managed UK sales.
Williamson said, “Kilninian is more than a distributor – it’s a conduit connecting stories, heritage and unparalleled quality to the UK’s thriving independent spirits retail market.
“With each brand we bring onboard, we are curating a tapestry of tales waiting to be shared over a glass of exceptional spirit. I couldn’t be happier with the portfolio we’ve already assembled, and I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
