After 8 years, The Finsbay in Milngavie has been closed and put up for sale by the owners Billy Milligan and his business partners. It follows a revamp last year when the venue increased it’s capacity and re-branded as The Finsbay Lounge. Both Charlies Loft in Milngavie and Finsbay Flatiron in the West End are unaffected.

The company announced their decision last week, saying on social media, “In recent years the hospitality trade has been hit hard and is now facing unprecedented challenges within food prices, supply shortages and staffing making it highly difficult to sustain a business. With this in mind we have been forced to make the difficult but necessary decision to put the venue on the market.

“We are extremely proud of the role our business has served in our community for the last 8 years and we wish the next people all the best. We hope they receive the same fantastic support we have had.

“Finally, we would like to once again ask people to consider eating, drinking and shopping locally when out. It really makes a huge difference.”
