Eleven-year-old Hillhead pupil Sonny Adams, whose love of Topolabamba in Glasgow’s West End inspired him to write a song, has now released it on video after the restaurant and his music teacher, stepped in to help.

Written and produced by Sonny Adams, now 12, his song ‘Chicken Tinga Tacos’ claims his favourite dish is ‘better than Nando’s.

Topolabamba, part of The Hunky Dory Dining Group, together with Big Think Agency produced the music video for ‘Chicken Tinga Tacos’ starring Sonny and five friends, all of whom have attended the same music group in Glasgow’s west end. The restaurant has also provided Sonny with a taco black card to enjoy his favourite dish – indefinitely – whenever he likes.

Tom, of First Chord Music School, explained, “Sonny came into class one day absolutely bouncing about the ‘most amazing tacos’ he ate at Topolabamba the previous weekend. He showed me some ideas for the song, and I thought to myself, we need to make this happen!”

Sonny added, “Me and Tom joked at the beginning that I might get some free tacos out of this, but it’s been amazing that the song has been made into a music video. It’s beyond anything I could’ve ever imagined. I’m super happy, free tacos for life!”

Operations Manager, Topolabamba, Iain Gallie said: “The Chicken Tinga Tacos are always a hit with our customers, but this has been something else. When we heard the track, we knew we had to offer to make a music video with Sonny and it’s been amazing to see it all come to life. We hope Sonny enjoys his tacos and everyone enjoys the song as much as we do – it’s certainly catchy!”
