Six Company, the Scottish group behind the Six by Nico restaurants, has announced the launch of Bamboleo, a Spanish steakhouse and wine bar which will replace Beat 6 on Milngavie Road in Bearsden as the group takes its next step in the vision with a goal of raising £2 million to support cancer patients and their families at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. The new 48-seat restaurant follows the success of Beat 6 which recently raised £1 million for the charity.
Six Company Chief Executive and founder Nico Simeone said, “I am very much looking forward to the next steps for us with our fundraising efforts for Beatson Cancer Charity, with the opening of Bamboléo. We are very lucky to be in the position that we can have such a concept and I am so excited for the future. To have reached this milestone is remarkable.”
Spanning two levels, with a private dining area on the mezzanine for events and fundraising dinners, Bamboleo will offer a range of Spanish-inspired dishes, from tapas and a la carte options to a special Galician Sunday Roast and the wine list will also feature Spanish and other international wines. All profits will go directly to Beatson Cancer Charity.
Gillian Hailstones, CEO of Beatson Cancer Charity, said, “We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Six Company and expand our mission through the launch of Bamboleo. Following the remarkable success of Beat 6, we’re excited to see Bamboleo open its doors, creating a new opportunity for the community to support those affected by cancer in a truly special way.
“Every meal enjoyed at Bamboleo helps provide essential support to cancer patients and their families, and we’re incredibly grateful for the continued commitment of Nico and his team.”
