Hospitality operator Scoop Group has expanded its portfolio with the launch of Sebb’s, an underground bar and dining destination on Miller Street. Located beneath their recently opened venue Margo, Sebb’s is designed to combine food, cocktails, in a setting inspired by Europe’s vinyl bar culture soundtracked by a rotating programme of music and DJ’s.
The venue, which opened this week, features an open-plan kitchen centred around a live-fire charcoal grill, with head chef Danny Carruthers leading a menu of grill-focused snacks and sharing plates.
General Manager, Kieran McKay and Scoop’s Head of Drinks, Alasdair Shaw, head up the cocktail programme from their dedicated cocktail kitchen serving batched drinks, including the Apple and Celery Gimlet and the Miso Old Fashioned, alongside low-intervention wines served on draught.
Kieran was one of the original members of Scoops Ox and Finch team in 2014, later joining Ka Pao Glasgow where he became General Manager. Alasdair joined Scoop as Head of Drinks this year, having worked in some of Glasgow’s best-known bars and restaurants.
