Clydeside Containers, the soon-to-launch food and drink hub on the Broomielaw, has seen a raft of new street food vendors sign-up over the last few weeks as the dining hub gets ready to open. With six vendors announced there is only one more to be revealed.
NYC-style sandwich bar Sub126, Café XO, Pizza Cult, Greek Street food specialist Yeeros and Scotland’s first crumble bar, The Crumbleologist have all announced that they are joining street food vendor Rabbit Food who was the first to be announced.
Clydeside Containers is the brainchild of the team behind Max’s Bar, La Cheetah, Room 2 and Mikaku. The Dining Hub on the Broomielaw offers a range of world street food from seven “hand-picked food vendors that bring a world of flavours to the heart of Glasgow”.
The “Drinks Container” will focus on craft drinks while the live entertainment includes a rotating lineup of local acoustic performers, live bands, comedians, and DJs.
The latest member, Ben Paterson, founder of Sub 126, said, “There’s a real sense of community in the Glasgow food scene. Clydeside is like a miniature hospitality dream team—everyone’s strong, everyone’s bringing something special. It’s exciting to be part of that.”
