Molly Malones in Aberdeen has closed temporarily for refurbishment, with the works reported to be a six-figure investment.
The Union Street pub shut its doors at the weekend and is expected to reopen in October. While the pub is keeping the scope of works under wraps, it is believed the refurbishment will include a new bar layout, updated flooring and furniture, themed décor, and the installation of air conditioning.
It occupies a historic building that previously traded under the name The Abercrombie before launching as Irish-bar Molly Malones at the end of 2019. Along with a beer garden, the main bar is known for live music, televised sport, and a regular food and drink offering.
The venue is operated under the Belhaven Pubs brand, part of the Greene King group.
