The Chester Hotel gets creative to support Maggie’s Aberdeen
Arty kids are invited to make a painting inspired by ‘a beautiful day in Aberdeen.’ The winning designs will be displayed at Maggie’s pop-up gallery at the Aberdeen hotel from 15th – 16th November. Guests will be able to bid on the artworks, with all proceeds going to the charity.
The pop-up art exhibition will also feature over 50 works from local and internationally renowned artists, including Scottish artists Iain Faulkner and Gerard Burns, which will range in price from £50 – £15,000.
The Chester Hotel’s owner, Gillian Wood, said, “We are delighted to support Maggie’s Aberdeen and encourage kids to get involved. As well as raising money for local people with cancer, they will also have the chance to show off their artistic skills and see their painting feature alongside the work of established artists. We’re very excited to see the different types of paintings the budding artists will come up with!”
Entry to the pop-up exhibition is free and visitors will receive a 15% discount to dine in the hotel’s IX Restaurant or IX Bar during the event. Entries to the children’s competition must be submitted by 5pm on Wednesday 9th November.
