Award-winning Lagg Distillery on the Isle of Arran has gifted Ewan McGregor his very own cask of Lagg Single Malt.
Part of Arran Distillers, an independently owned producer of Single Malt Whisky with two distilleries at either end of the island – Lagg and Lochranza – the Lagg team presented the actor with one of their first-fill Bourbon Barrels of Lagg Single Malt during his recent visit to the island, as part of his collaboration with Lochranza Distillery.
Lagg Distillery Manager, Graham Omand, said: “We were absolutely thrilled to welcome Ewan McGregor to the distillery recently and to gift him his very own Lagg cask of our Single Malt. We very much look forward to seeing how this liquid matures and continuing our partnership with Ewan moving forward.”
Ewan has long been associated with Isle of Arran Distillers. Their sister distillery, Lochranza, presented him with a Sherry Hogshead in 1998, which was later bottled to raise money for charity.
Most recently, Ewan raised £135,000 for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) by auctioning 150 exclusive bottles from his personal 1998 cask of Arran Single Malt Whisky, also from Lochranza Distillery.
