Winton Brewery is preparing to open a new bar on Portobello High Street, marking the third venue for the East Lothian brewer known for beers such as Peelywally IPA and Oh Ya Bassa! sour.
The new site will take over the former Porty Vault unit, which closed in late 2024 following the relocation of previous operator Vault City. Set to open ahead of the peak summer season, the bar will showcase Winton’s own beers alongside artisan spirits and cocktails.
The venue will also offer live music and street food, with plans to create a sociable, community-driven space. It follows the brewery’s earlier ventures, The Haddy Tap in Pencaitland and The Station Yard micropub in Dunbar.
