This year’s Bar Personality of the Year Award was awarded to Lorraine Ferguson, who officially took over as Manager of Billy Bridges Bar in Ayr just two years ago – but truth be told, she’s been the beating heart of her pub for much longer. In fact, she’s been part of the fabric of Billy Bridges Bar for an incredible 23 years.
Everyone in the community knows her – not just for running a successful pub, but for the way she makes people feel. She’s the kind of person who’ll notice if a regular hasn’t popped in for a while, and won’t hesitate to pick up the phone just to check they’re okay.
She is full of life, a self-confessed chatterbox, generous with her time and energy, and always working shoulder to shoulder with her team. She brings out the best in everyone around her – staff, customers, and the community alike.
If ever there was someone who deserves recognition for the joy, spirit, and humanity they bring to their pub and to the people in it – it’s Lorraine, this years Bar Personality of the Year.
