Cold Town House has announced the return of its Grassmarket Craft Beer Festival, which will take place in Edinburgh on Saturday 4 October.
The event, now in its third year, will see ten Scottish breweries taking part, offering a wide selection of seasonal beers and ales in the heart of the capital.
New breweries joining this year include Not That California Brewing Company from Falkirk, Thistly Cross from East Lothian, Harviestoun Brewery and Williams Brothers from Clackmannanshire, and Walkie Talky Brewing from Edinburgh. They’ll be joined by returning local brewers Closet Brewing and Moonwake Brewing.
The festival will also give visitors a look inside Cold Town’s on-site microbrewery, with food and live music available throughout the day and Cold Town’s pizza and street food offering will be available alongside live performances from Jono Connelly and five-piece brass band The Brass Rats.
Ruth Reid, Brand and Marketing Manager at Cold Town Brewery, said, “We’ve gone bigger this year with more tickets on sale and more live music. We’re looking forward to welcoming a strong line-up of breweries to Edinburgh once again.”
“This event continues to be a great way to bring the craft beer community together, and this year looks like it will be another good one. We’re especially pleased to have acts like Jono Connelly and the Brass Rats join us.”
Andrew McKnight, Vice Chairman and CEO of Harviestoun Brewery, said, “We’re excited to be at the Grassmarket Craft Beer Festival this year and look forward to bringing some old favourites and a few new brews. It’ll be good to catch up with the other breweries too.”
Michael Johnstone, Co-founder of Walkie Talky Brewing, added, “We’re looking forward to pouring for the first time at the festival. We’ll be bringing some of our core beers along with a few special collaborations we brewed in Italy and France earlier this year.”
“It’s a great opportunity to be part of a local event and spend time with other producers and beer drinkers from across Scotland.”
