Big Swally Edinburgh returns to the Corn Exchange at the end of the month, with a line-up of breweries from across the UK, Europe and the US set to take part.

Now in its second year in Edinburgh, the craft beer festival is run in partnership by Vault City Brewing and The Caledonian Craft Beer Merchant. Organisers say the event has grown significantly since launching in Dunfermline, with this year’s day session already sold out.

“The Big Swally started in Dunfermline as a way to showcase great beer and bring people together and it has grown beyond anything we imagined,” said Colin Gardner of The Caledonian Craft Beer Merchant. “Last year’s atmosphere was incredible and to see the support again shows just how much people want to be part of it. The beer community is very special – likeminded independent breweries just want to help each other and it’s amazing to see.

“We are looking forward to welcoming breweries and beer lovers from all over the world back to Edinburgh. The response from breweries around the world has been phenomenal – there’s really no other beer gathering like this.”

Breweries attending from the UK include Vault City, Track Brewing Co, The Kernel, Northern Monk and Rivington Brew Co. From the US, Finback Brewery, Long Live Beerworks and Grimm Artisanal Ales are confirmed. The international line-up also features Garage Beer Co from Spain, Brewski from Sweden, Amundsen Brewery from Norway, Seven Island Brewery from Greece, Sudden Death Brewing Co from Germany and Ārpus Brewing Co from Latvia.

Vault City will launch a new Raspberry and Vanilla sour exclusive to the festival and food will be provided by Edinburgh-based street food traders including Anto Tito’s Truck, Fred’s Backyard Barbecue and Bia Edinburgh.

The Big Swally takes place on 25 October.
