Scottish casual dining brand Tony Macaroni has launched a new franchise drive as it looks to expand its footprint across the UK.
The operator, which currently runs 13 restaurants across Scotland and employs more than 300 staff, says the move to franchising is being positioned as a way to accelerate national rollout with a wider mix of operating models.
Founded in 2007, the Italian-focused brand is part of the Viva Italia Group and it has confirmed that further company-owned openings are already planned.
Tony Macaroni’s Managing Director Sep Marini said, “Our goal is to make Tony Macaroni accessible to more communities across the UK. We have built a business model that combines operational simplicity with a menu people genuinely love.”
The group says recent investment in digital ordering, a branded rewards app has strengthened its franchise offer, following continued post-Covid recovery.
