Tune In to RADIO

Steven Mccolm

Steven McColm (pictured) and Adam Coakley are set to open a brand-new two-floor venue, RADIO, on Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street. This will bring the number of venues the duo operate on the street to four.  They also own BOX and Nico’s and have just taken over the lease of Driftwood.

Their latest venue will offer they say Irish warmth, American energy, live music, sport, DJs, and New York-style pizza slices all under one roof.

Spread across two floors and four bars, the Ground Floor brings the classic Irish-American bar vibe – great pints, live music duos, big sports screens, and Glasgow’s best late-night crowd. Downstairs, the Basement Speakeasy keeps the party going with DJs, cocktails, and dancing until 3 a.m., channelling the buzz of New York’s underground music lounges.

Food takes centre stage too, with NY pizza slices, sides, and dips served till the early hours.

“RADIO is built around that universal mix of music, good drinks, and great craic,” said Steven McColm and Adam Coakley, Co-Owners of RADIO. “We wanted to create a space that feels alive – where you can catch a live singer, grab a slice, sink a pint, watch the game, or lose yourself in the Speakeasy till 3 a.m. It’s all connected through the same pulse – the music and atmosphere.”

The interiors tune into the name with Irish bric-a-brac, retro broadcast visuals, neon lights, vintage microphones, vinyls, and a sound-driven atmosphere linking both floors. Whether it’s a pre-theatre pint, post-show pizza, or a full-night blowout, RADIO is ready to turn up the volume on Glasgow’s next big night out.
