Based in the A-listed former Lansdowne Parish Church, the building has undergone a significant refurbishment. Original features, including early 20th-century stained glass by Alf Webster, have been retained, while a new visual identity, featuring a kingfisher in waistcoat and monocle, takes its inspiration from the nearby River Kelvin.

The Kelvin introduces a new dining and events offering to the space, with a menu that sources from across Scotland serving dishes which include Shetland cod, Perthshire lamb, haggis, neeps and tatties, and the house Great Western beef burger.

General Manager Matt Ronald said, “This stunning building is the perfect home for The Kelvin. We’re thrilled with the finished look, excited by the new Scottish menu and look forward to welcoming guests into our new abode.

“It’s an exciting time to unleash something completely new under the roof of this multi-use venue, which is buzzing with activity following the arrival of The Stand Comedy Club earlier this autumn. The famous old building is now a real centrepiece of Glasgow West End’s renowned hospitality offering, so easily accessible just yards from Kelvinbridge underground.”

The Stand Comedy Club now operates from the lower level of the building, having moved to the venue earlier this year.
