Cultar Restaurant Group, the team behind The Caravan Shop in Glasgow’s West End has launched Cellar, new Parisian-style wine bar beneath its Great Western Road venue.

Cellar bills itself as an intimate wine space offering a list of selected bottles and by-the-glass pours, including Coravin-served wines and Cellar exclusives not available upstairs. It also features a short food menu of snacks, charcuterie and cheese designed to pair with the wine offering. Dishes include Cantabrian anchovy gildas, beef tartare with house crisps and pickles.

Inside, a 19th-century mahogany cabinet holds tasting glassware, with wooden wine crates, full racks and low lighting to create a compact, informal setting also available for private hire for 10 with an extensive vinyl collection.  Cellar will also host a regular Cellar Series, showcasing wines and stories from different wine regions.

Upstairs, The Caravan Shop, which opened in May 2025, seats 21 and continues to operate as both a wine bar and bottle shop. The venue is led by Head Chef Alan Doig and Chef Director Colin Anderson of Brett, with General Manager Christopher R. Brewer overseeing the cellar’s wine list.

Cultar Restaurant Group, founded by brothers Paul and Chris Charalambous in 2006, includes Cail Bruich, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Glasgow’s West End, Brett, a Michelin-recommended modern European restaurant in Kelvinbridge, The Clarence, Hyndland’s local Dining Room & Pub, and The Caravan Shop, a wine bar and bottle shop in Glasgow’s West End.
