Glasgow restaurant Celentano’s will relocate to the city centre next spring, opening in April 2026 at Arthouse Glasgow, a new hotel on Bath Street.
The move ends Celentano’s time at Cathedral House in the East End, where it has operated since opening in 2021. The restaurant will close its current site on 31 December 2025.
Owners Dean and Anna Parker have confirmed that the new restaurant will build on what they created at Cathedral House, with a new design and refreshed menu.
Anna Parker said, “This version of Celentano’s will feel more like us – what we would have envisaged our restaurant like, before we ever opened Celentano’s. Cathedral House was such a great opportunity for us, but there was a limit on how much we could do with the space. This time we are starting with a blank canvas, and building up a brand new restaurant – working with unbelievably creative people who have the same vision as us.”
The new restaurant will seat more than 60 people, almost double the capacity of the current location, and will sit on a single level. Interior design is by London-based Alessio Nardi of A-nrd Studio, as part of his wider work on the hotel. It will be his second hotel project in the UK and his first in a city setting, showcasing a blend of period architecture with modern design and warm, neutral tones.
The menu, led by Dean Parker, will continue to focus on seasonal produce, low-waste cooking and Italian-inspired dishes. The kitchen will use open-flame cooking and in-house butchery. Dishes such as agnolotti and malted barley affogato will remain, alongside new additions developed for the new site.
Anna Parker will oversee the drinks list, which follows the same sustainable approach. The cocktail menu will use by-products from the kitchen, with liqueurs and vermouths made in-house, including a zero-alcohol option. The wine list will continue to focus on biodynamic and organic producers and will change with the seasons.
The 76-bedroom Arthouse Glasgow hotel is also due to open in April 2026. It will be the first hotel from new British group Oberland.
