Jackton Distillery, home to RAER Scotch Whisky and Something Blue Wedding Gin, has appointed Edinburgh events professional Jethro Rolland as its new Head of Experience, a role that will see him lead the tourism, accommodation and events teams.
Rolland brings with him several years of industry experience, having previously worked with The Scotch Whisky Experience on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, where he managed private tastings, events and hospitality for the Castlehill Room and Amber Restaurant & Whisky Bar. He also oversaw corporate packages for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
His connection to Jackton began in 2025, when he produced the distillery’s Maltings Tour for Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival, a project which led to Jackton being named ‘Outstanding New Participant’ by the Glasgow Building Preservation Trust. Most recently, he led the development of the distillery’s accessibility programme and disabled access guide, which launched in January 2026.
The distillery’s Managing Director, Jaynie Kean, said, “Our Experience department went from non-existent to something incredible in just the past year. Jethro has been able to harness all that makes our distillery special and turn that into authentic and high-quality experiences for people to enjoy. I know he will be amazing in this new role.”
