Indigo Yard in Edinburgh has been announced as a finalist for the Molson Coors Champion Beer Pub of Scotland prize at the 2014 DRAM Scottish Licensed Trade Awards, which take place at The Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow on Monday July 7th.
The Molson Coors Champion Beer Pub of Scotland award seeks to to recognise a pub that really champions good beer and offers an excellent craft range. Each of the finalists pride themselves on being one of Scotland’s top beer pubs, actively promote responsible beer consumption and regularly introduce new craft beer for their customers. A good cellar and well trained staff were deemed necessary by our judges for this award.
Having recently undergone a substantial refurbishment, Indigo Yard has reinvented itself as one of the must-visit craft beer destinations in Edinburgh. The beer range increased from 16 on draught to 27, and the packaged range from 12 to 37, featuring the very best of local, British and world beers. Staff underwent vigorous craft beer training, and two in-house craft beer ambassadors were appointed to ensure the consistent serve and quality of the draught products.
The awards, dubbed the licensed trade ‘Oscars,’ are organised by licensed trade magazine, DRAM. Now in their 19th year, they are the longest-established awards of their kind in Scotland, recognising excellence in Scotland’s bar, restaurant and hospitality industries.
