Tennent’s Lager has revealed that it’s set to allow 5-a-side teams to capture video highlights (and lowlights) on demand throughout their matches. Called T5s, the technology allows players to capture and upload the last 20 seconds of action by simply hitting one of four giant red buttons which will be positioned on the sidelines. The images will appear automatically, letting players review their performance – for better or worse – as soon as the final whistle blows via social media or the dedicated app.
T5s will be available at Rouken Glen Prosoccer from 18th February, followed by Ayr Prosoccer and East Kilbride Playsport at the end of the month. Players can save their own videos to their T5s profile page, creating a personal playlist of their finest (and funniest) moments. An accompanying T5s smartphone app will also make it easy for players to organise games, invite their mates and issue awards after games, from Man of the Match, to Best Goal, or Most Embarrassing Miss.
Jane Cannon, Marketing Manager for Tennent’s Lager, comments, ““Tennent’s has had a long association with football – but the game has never seen anything like this before. We’re really excited to introduce it. Now, anyone that plays fives can get their very own highlights package and share it online too.
No doubt if it is a pubs five-a-side team they could share it in the pub too!
