Blair Bowman, the entrepreneur who founded World Whisky Day, has taken on a new role as International Business Development Manager at Uisge Source. The company produces specially selected spring waters to be added to whisky.
Bowman, who speaks Mandarin, will be fronting the brand’s international growth particularly in the Far East. He says,“I am delighted to be joining Uisge Source at this important time, with the chance to build momentum for this new product concept. There is a great opportunity for Uisge Source to become a permanent feature as the perfect whisky accompaniment and I am very much looking forward to playing my part.”
Uisge Source spring waters come from private sources close to some of the popular distilleries in the whisky regions of Scotland to complement the whiskies produced in those regions. Their offerings include a water with higher natural acidity from the Ardilistry Spring on Islay and a hard water, high in minerals from St Colman’s Well in Ross-shire for Highland Malts.
Uisge Source founder, Graeme Lindsay says, “We are delighted that Blair is joining Uisge Source. He has already made a name for himself as an enterprising and knowledgeable whisky expert and I am confident that his experience will be invaluable as he introduces Uisge Source to new markets.”
