Heverlee Witte, Tennent’s Whisky Oak and Tennent’s 1885 Gluten Free, all produced or distributed by Glasgow-based brewer, Tennent’s, have been awarded prizes in the 2015 International Beer Challenge. Heverlee received silver as did Tennent’s Whisky Oak while Tennent’s 1885 Gluten Free picked up bronze.
The awards, now in their 19th year, are judged by a mixture of retailers, importers, publicans brewers, writers and analysts and promote excellence in beers from all over the world across a variety of different categories.
Keith Lugton, Tennent’s Master Brewer, said, “The International Beer Challenge sets the bar high in terms of quality so we’re of course very proud that three of our products have been recognised as being of a high standard by the judging panel. There are some fantastic brewers who have been awarded medals over the last 19 years and we’re glad to be amongst them.”
