Stirling Council Planning department has given the go ahead for Nick and Julia Nairn to rebuild their Bridge of Allan restaurant, Nick’s on Henderson Street, which was destroyed by fire on 28th August last year.
The fire took place during service and staff evacuated its full restaurant in 90 seconds. The damage meant that the restaurant could not re-open until it was rebuilt.
The work at Nick’s will include rebuilding the kitchen, which was where the fire is thought to have started, the male toilets, store room and hallway.
Speaking on James Martin’s Saturday show about the 2021 fire and subsequent flood at his cookery school Nick Nairn said, “We have had to adapt and 2022 has got to be better.”
