Royal Mile Tavern closes due to serious fire

The Royal Mile Tavern on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh has had to closed following a fire at their premises yesterday. The fire resulted in the Royal Mile being closed while firefighters fought the blaze with more than ten firefighting trucks mobilised to the scene.

The bar had been gearing up for the rugby this weekend and had only recently announced a makeover.

The pub has said on its facebook page, “Thank you from everyone for the concern and kind messages. Unfortunately, we have had to close due to a serious fire in our venue early on Thursday afternoon,

“All staff and patrons have been accounted for, and we send pure praise to our brothers and sisters in the fire and rescue service, we are forever in your debt,
We will be back! Bigger and better than ever! Again thankyou for all the kind messages”
