Gretna Green gets a new restaurant and bar

Gretna Green, the family-owned wedding and hospitality destination, is opening a new restaurant and bar this week (Friday 23 June).

Greens at Gretna, is a modern, open-plan, bar and restaurant, recently refitted and fully converted from its former life as a hotel and it will be the newest restaurant and bar in Gretna.

To be known as ‘The First Restaurant in Scotland’ it is, as the name implies, the first restaurant that travellers come to after crossing the border from England.

The bar offering introduces its our own unique brands; Anvil Ale, Gretna Green Whiskey, Gretna Green Best Ale, and Gretna Green Gin.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of Greens at Gretna and welcome our new Greens colleagues to the Gretna Green family,” said Isabel Rhodes, Chief Executive of Gretna Green.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming guests from Gretna, Annan, Cumbria and further afield to enjoy our fabulous menu and locally sourced food.”
