Glasgow bar, The Drake, on Woodlands Road in the city’s West end, is on the market. The popular local venue has been with the current owners since 2010 and currently run under management. The agents, Smith & Clough, said that the Drakes’ owners now felt that the business would benefit further from a more hands-on owner operator.
The business is spread over two floors and listed as a “multi-venue licensed premises,” which the licensed outdoor area at the front. The Drake itself, on the ground floor, has seating for 60 customers in 2 main seating areas with the bar area to the rear. The upper floors previously operated as function areas for the Drake, and were converted to separate venues in 2021. A further refurbishment and rebrand created cocktail bar Rascal in September 2023, and restaurant Faim in October 2024. Together they can host 62 customers including the private dining area.
The business turns over approximately £18,000 per week gross of vat and it is looking for Leasehold offers over £195,000.
