Christie & Co has announced the sale of Paolozzi Restaurant & Bar on Forrest Road in central Edinburgh for an undisclosed price after the owners decided to sell to step back from running a restaurant, and confirm the Paolozzi beer brand is still trading strong and open for business as normal.
The restaurant has been sold to local restaurateurs who plan to bring back Kushi’s Indian restaurant which first began serving Indian food in Edinburgh in 1947, before opening in Drummond Street in 1973. They plan to open the new restaurant around mid-October.
Simon Watson, Business Agent at Christie & Co, said, “It was a pleasure to work on behalf of the former owners. I am delighted that we achieved a quick sale after running a short process, with high levels of interest. Edinburgh is still proving to be resilient in the current market, and this sale demonstrates strong appetite from buyers for good quality freeholds in the region.”
