A new Italian-inspired cocktail bar is set to open in the heart of Hamilton next month. Vespbar, located within the new Luciano’s restaurant, takes its name from a blend of Vespa culture and classic aperitivo traditions.

The concept pays homage to the iconic scooter, with its signature logo featuring an Italian beer on the rider’s seat and a cocktail on the pillion — a nod to the pairing of classic and contemporary Italian drinking culture.

Positioned as a lively addition to the town’s evening scene, Vespbar will offer a menu of Italian beers, cocktails and regular live music at weekends. The venue is designed for pre- or post-dinner drinks, social catch-ups and celebrations, bringing a touch of la dolce vita to Lanarkshire.

The new venue is the latest addition from The Meraki Restaurant Group, the team behind Luciano’s in Burnside, Cocktails & Steaks in Uddingston, and Mr MacGregors in Netherlee.

Fallon Cowley, Director of Meraki Restaurant Group said, “Hamilton deserves a venue that combines authentic Italian dining with an energetic social scene.

“With Luciano’s and Vespa Bar, we’ve created a place where people can share exceptional food, discover inventive cocktails, and enjoy live music in the heart of the town.”

Vespbar and Luciano’s will officially open its doors on 7 November.
