Stirling Distillery is launching its inaugural Santa Dash on Saturday 6 December, with the event set to raise funds for two local charities, Strathcarron Hospice and the Rotary Club of Stirling.
The one-mile route will start and finish at the distillery on Lower Castlehill, guiding participants past Stirling Castle with runners encouraged to dress in Santa suits with the first male and first female finishers each receiving a bottle of Stirling Gin. A complimentary glass of winter punch will be served to all runners at the finish line (or a soft drink for the under 18s).
“We wanted to bring something festive, active, and fun to the city this Christmas,” said Elle McCann, Distillery Manager at Stirling Distillery. “The Santa Dash is about community spirit, laughter, and a touch of Stirling magic – all topped off with a glass of winter punch at the finish line!”
Entry is priced at £5 per person, with a cap of 200 participants and the deadline for entries is 5pm on Friday 29 November, or sooner if capacity is reached. All profits will be split between the two charities.
