The Stockbridge Tap on Raeburn Place in Edinburgh closed its doors on Sunday for a three-week refurbishment, with a reopening date to be confirmed.

The award-winning pub, named Edinburgh’s best pub at the 2025 CAMRA Edinburgh & South East Scotland Pub of the Year awards, said the work would focus on updating the space while retaining its original architectural details. The pub will continue to offer cask beers from independent breweries as well as world beers, wines, spirits and a small food menu.

Bar manager Neil Hunter said, “The Stockbridge Tap has always been an Edinburgh institution, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our goal wasn’t to change what The Tap is or who we are, but to keep the heart of the pub and to give our loyal regulars and new customers a better version of the local they love.”

Updates on the reopening date will be posted via the pub’s Instagram and Facebook pages at @thestockbridgetap.
