The Rocca Group has opened Clarets at The R&A World Golf Museum in St Andrews, overlooking the Old Course.
The 60-cover all-day venue has been designed to balance St Andrews’ golfing history with a more contemporary look and feel, with a mix of formal seating and lounge space. Guests are also surrounded by golfing memorabilia from the museum’s collection, including trophies and claret jugs.
Stefano Pieraccini, Managing Director of The Rocca Group, said, “Opening Clarets here is incredibly meaningful for us. St Andrews is a place with such history and character, and we wanted to create a restaurant that reflects that — not just in the setting, but in the atmosphere, the food and the experience. To be able to welcome guests into a space overlooking the Old Course, surrounded by that history, is something very special.”
The menu includes breakfast and lunch before moving to a brasserie-style evening offer, with dishes including avocado on sourdough, a full Scottish breakfast, eggs Benedict and a haggis toastie.
