Five Scottish restaurants have been named among Condé Nast Traveller’s best new UK openings for 2026, with Edinburgh taking four of the five places on the list. The title’s latest selection, published this week, includes Glasgow’s Corner Shop and Edinburgh venues Moss, Nishiki, Norah and Vinette.

The Scottish showing spans a mix of independent operators and chef-led businesses. Corner Shop in Glasgow is owned by Conor McGeady, Matthew Mustard and Gary McKernan, while Stockbridge restaurant Moss is the venture of chef director Henry Dobson. Norah is run by Claire Hanrahan and Andrew Ainsley, and Vinette is part of Stuart Ralston’s Aizle Hospitality Group. Nishiki, meanwhile, was launched by the team behind Edinburgh Japanese restaurant Yamato.

Vinette’s inclusion adds to a strong run for Ralston’s latest business. The Parisian-style wine bar and bistro was added to the Michelin Guide three months after its October 2025 opening and forms part of the Aizle Hospitality Group, which also includes Lyla, Noto and Tipo.
