Our love affair with all things Swedish is undeniable, and now Swedish-born husband and wife team Anna and Mike Christopherson, the people behind the likes of Boda and Sofi’s in Edinburgh, have added to the Capital’s Swedish quarter with new outlet Hemma at 75 Holyrood Road, formerly The Tun. Says Anna, “Hemma means ‘at home’ in Swedish and that’s what we wanted to create – a home from home feel for our customers, with traditional Scandinavian style and cosy furniture. I also took the two managers to Sweden in February where we ate our way through 20 bars to get the Scandinavian food offering just right in Hemma. In addition we have a wide selection of world beers and will be running lots of community events, given our proximity to Holyrood Park.”
