Heineken is recruiting one intern to become a part of its Event & Sponsorship department – a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to follow the UEFA Champion’s League Trophy as it tours the world and meet your footballing heroes. A staggering 1,734 applicants apply for the position.
A shortlist of interviewees is compiled and Heineken invites these young hopefuls to Amsterdam to see what they are really made of – while secretly filming the process.
The result is ‘The Candidate’ – a behind-the-scenes video demonstrating the resourcefulness of young job-seekers as they are forced to respond to extraordinary circumstances – holding the bosses hand, reviving him as he ‘blacks-out’ during the interview and finally – helping to rescue a stranded Heineken employee from the roof after a ‘fire-alert’. How they responded determined who had the skills needed to work in the Heineken marketing department.
