JD Wetherspoon has revealed that the name of its first pub in Stirling will be ‘The Crossed Peels’. Building work will start at the end of November on the Spital Street premises with the £1.5m new pub set to open in March 2014. JD Wetherspoon chairman Tim Martin said, “We are looking forward to opening our pub in Stirling. We are confident that it will be a good addition to Stirling’s social scene and also act as a catalyst for other businesses to invest in the area.”
