Douglas Laing Announce Two New Keepers of the Quaich

Laing

Independent whisky bottlers Douglas Laing have announced their two new Keepers of the Quaich; Cara Laing, Director of Whisky, and Chris Leggat, Commercial Director. As well as being the youngest Keepers of the Quaich, they are also Scotland’s first husband and wife duo to be inducted.

The Keepers of the Quaich is an invitation-only international community of members recognised for their outstanding contributions to Scotch whisky, and was formed by the major companies of the Scotch whisky industry. There are presently fewer than 2,500 members.

Cara and Chris commented: ”It is an incredible accolade to be invited to become Keepers of the Quaich – something we are both tremendously proud of. It was particularly special being inducted on the same date and the celebrations that followed were a lot of fun – it was certainly a memorable Scottish shindig”.

The ceremony took place at Blair Castle in the Scottish Highlands.
