Hi-Spirits confirm deal to distribute Lazzaroni Amaretto

Lazzaroni Amaretto

Hi-Spirits has agreed a new partnership with the family owners of Lazzaroni Amaretto to distribute the  Italian Amaretto in the UK to the on and off trade.

Dan Bolton, Managing Director of Hi-Spirits said, “Lazzaroni Amaretto is already appreciated by those ‘in the know’ as one of the earliest and most authentic Amaretto’s. We’re delighted that bringing this iconic Italian brand into our portfolio means that it will be even more widely enjoyed.”

The authentic Italian Amaretto has been made since 1851 in the Italian town of Saronna where it was developed from an old Lazzaroni family recipe. It is the only Amaretto made from the infusion of the famous Amaretti del Chiostro di Saranno biscuits rather from an essence.

Bolton commented, “Amaretto is a classic aperatif served chilled over ice or in a wide range of cocktails and mixed drinks and is also an essential ingredient in many Italian desserts. Growing interest in authentic drinks, as well as the increasing number of consumers looking for lower abv spirits, will both help drive demand.”
