Are your customers golf mad? Would they like the chance to relive Scottish golf legend Sam Torrance’s best moments? Caledonia Best is giving them the chance this summer! Golf fanatics who would like to taste a little of Sam Torrence’s success can enter the competition by buying a pint of Caledonia Best at your bar and entering a unique code provided at point of purchase. The competition closes on Sunday 16th August.
Golf legend Torrance has filmed a series of videos in association with Caledonia Best looking back on his prolific golfing career. The videos were filmed at the famous Brabazon course at The Belfry and Torrance shares tales of his successful career while re-enacting some of his famous shots taken at the course – including his “life-changing” winning putt for Europe in 1985. The Caledonia Best Clubhouse Captain was also part of the team who won the Ryder Cup at the course in 1989 and 2002.
Torrence commented, “It’s great to be back here at The Belfry. I have so many fond memories of the resort and the golf course from my four Ryder Cups here – whether it be holing the winning putt in 1985 or witnessing Paul McGinley sink that famous 10-footer in 2002.”
He continued, “I’m very much looking forward to welcoming our Caledonia Best winners here in September and getting back out on the Brabazon again.”
John-Paul Murphy, Head of Brands at Tennent Caledonian Breweries, said, “Sam has such a strong affinity with The Belfry, therefore it made perfect sense for us to offer golfers the opportunity to play alongside him here, and relive some of his most famous moments”
