Tennent’s scores exclusive deal with 2016 Open pop-up

Caddyshack 2

Tennent’s is to supply the Caddyshack, this year’s Golf Punk Clubhouse, at Troon during the 2016 Open Championship.

Tennent’s will supply the venue, run by pop-up specialists Fou & Happy, with Caledonia Best and Tennent’s Lager as well as Magners Cider, Drygate and a range of wines & spirits.

The Caddyshack is housed in Troon Concert Hall and contains three bars with street food from chef Dougie Smith.

As well as a full-size golf simulator, Caddyshack also has Troon’s biggest TV screen where fans can catch all of the action from the Championship itself. Tennent’s 80s inspired Tennent’s Arcade machines will also be at the venue.

Alan Hay, Tennent’s On Trade Sales Director said, “Caddyshack were looking to deliver a new and unique venue for this year’s Championship and approached Tennents.

The team who put the Caddyshack together have created something truly special for Golf fans to enjoy and we’re delighted to be a part of it. The Golf Punk Clubhouse is traditionally the busiest and most popular bar in any Open town, and we’re sure that with the great food, drink and entertainment on offer, 2016 will be no different.”

The Golf Punk Clubhouse at the Caddyshack will be at Troon Concert Hall until the 17th July.
