Highland distillery Wolfburn will unveil its second expression, Wolfburn Aurora, later this month.
The sherried whisky follows on from the success of the Thurso-based distillery’s inaugural edition, Wolfburn Northland, released in March 2016.
Named after the Aurora Borealis, Wolfburn Aurora has a sherry sweetness accompanied by dried fruits and malt with a hint of spice, according to Master Distiller Shane Fraser.
Fraser and his team reintroduced Wolfburn Whisky to the world in 2012, one year after the rediscovery of the old Wolfburn Distillery in Thurso, Caithness. They resurrected the distillery after 150 years of neglect.
Wolfburn‘s new whisky will be available from 19 September, distributed in the UK by Amathus Drinks PLC
