#PUBLOVE campaign to boost Scottish trade

PUB CLUB PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGN ADVERT 1

A major advertising campaign is being rolled out across Edinburgh and Glasgow to boost trade for local pubs, clubs and bars.

Affectionately named #PUBLOVE, the £150,000 campaign from the Scottish Licensed Trade Association (SLTA) aims to encourage more people to support the country’s licenced trade.

Featuring common scenes such as friends watching the football over a pint, the ads will appear on 16 digital billboards dotted around both cities.

They will be shown throughout September and October, and will return in January and February next year. The campaign is expected to reach 1.45 million people every fortnight.

Paul Waterson, SLTA Chief Executive, said, “Our premises continue to be at the centre of the Scottish social scene and are a real selling point for tourism.

“Everyone loves our pubs, bars and nightclubs but we need to do more to support our industry and get the message across loud and clear that they are part of our communities and a key contributor to local economies the length and breadth of Scotland.”
