Global sales of the iconic Glencairn Crystal glass have smashed the 20 million mark.
The glass was designed in 2002 by Raymond Davidson, founder of East Kilbride-based Glencairn Crystal, to enhance the whisky drinking experience. It is now a popular choice among whisky drinkers worldwide.
Glencairn’s Scott Davidson said product has become a major catalyst for the company’s success.
He added, “The Glencairn Whisky Glass has been hugely successful as a product, with sales now reaching 20 million glasses worldwide. Indeed, it is now sold on all seven continents.”
Glencairn Crystal is now one of the largest suppliers of crystal to the Scottish whisky industry in the UK and Ireland, with its market extending to over 60 countries worldwide.
