Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa in Dundee is launching what it claims to be the city’s first complimentary shuttle bus service for hotel guests.
The service will provide complimentary transfers to and from Dundee Airport and Dundee Train Station in black, Apex Hotels branded Mercedes.
It will initially operate on a trial basis for three months. Corporate guests will also be offered a complimentary drop-off service to their place of work during this time.
The hotel’s General Manager, Brett Davidge, said, “This new shuttle service will add value for our guests and help them move about the city with ease. We want to make the journey to and from the Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa as seamless and enjoyable as possible.”
The new service will seek to capitalise on an expected future tourism boost for Dundee, thanks to the current £1 Billion redevelopment of its waterfront, which includes the V&A Museum of Design Dundee due to open in 2018.
It will also be available to all guests at an additional rate for private tours, tourist attractions tours, golf course transfers, Edinburgh and Glasgow pick-ups or transfers within Dundee.
