Adrian Pieraccini dies

Adrian Pieraccini the man credited with bringing fine dining to Inverness has died.  Adrian, who was born in Inverness, and who learned his trade in Italy, launched the five-star Rocpool Reserve and La Riviera restaurant in the city as well as ventures in Edinburgh and St Andrews. He died on 6th January aged 60.

Adrian lived in Dubai for a while after selling his hotel to the owners of Inverlochy Castle in 2008 before returning to Scotland to start further hospitality venues with Macdonald Hotels in St Andrews, opening the Rocca restaurant, the One Under gastro pub and the R Bar cocktail bar in the Rusacks Hotel.

In 2017 he helped his son Stefano establish the Seafood Ristorante in St Andrews and also helped him when he opened the West Room and the Broughton Hotel both in Edinburgh.

He leaves wife Susan and son Stefano.
