First ever Scottish alcohol insight conference


The Knowledge Bank is hosting the first ever Scottish Alcohol Insight conference next month (2nd March) providing the Scottish alcohol industry with fresh insight into global and UK alcohol market opportunities.

The conference, Thirst for Knowledge, brings together global and UK market experts who will present specially commissioned research exploring trends, innovation and opportunities in the sector.

Amanda Brown, Project Director at The Knowledge Bank, said: “This, our first ever in-person conference, harvests the best of global insight and data to create a half day conference that will be the place to find out where future opportunities and trends lie for the alcohol sector.  Providing the inside track to new markets to optimise their businesses, we hope to be able to help and inspire them to look at new ways in which they can improve their commercial outlook using the kind of data and insight normally reserved for multinational corporations. If each producer comes away with a kernel of a new idea, which they can then develop into a new business opportunity, then the conference will be a success.”

The conference includes sessions on the new trends in flavours, formats as well as unncovering underutilised opportunities for the sector while Rohan Lightfoot, Chief Growth Officer, Mindshare APAC will talk about what can be learned from Asia in terms of building alcohol brands in a digital world.

The free event will take place at the EICC in Edinburgh as well as online.
